Experience the world’s oldest living culture at Parrtjima - A Festival in Light 2021

You are here

Parrtjima is the meeting place where old meets new. It is the only authentic Aboriginal festival of its kind, showcasing the oldest continuous culture on earth through the newest technology – all on the 300-million-year-old natural canvas of the MacDonnell Ranges in Central Australia.

Held on Mparntwe (Alice Springs), Parrtjima’s diverse program includes the lighting of the majestic MacDonnell Ranges, unique, large-scale illuminated sculptural installations in the desert, animated artworks and a national line-up of artists, musicians, performers and storytellers. This year also includes a Preview Night and add on workshops, as well as Merne, an exclusive dining-under-the-stars experience.

As a Travel Associates client, you'll have access to exclusive experiences beyond the festival
